The Story Behind GEN-P
From Cherry Picker to Creator of GEN-P
A story about breaking cycles, honoring life, and turning pain into purpose.
For six years, I worked on a cherry picker Same routine Same sky. Clock in, clock out On the surface it was just a job. But inside I knew I was built for more. GEN-P was born from that tension — between who I was… and who I refused to leave this earth without becoming.
Vibrating Low, Knowing I Was Meant for More
There was a long season of my life where I was vibrating on a lower frequency.
Depressed. Numb. “Too cool” to show emotion. Not honoring the moments God gave me.
I’d wake up late, go through the motions, and blame my problems on the people I loved the most. I knew deep down I had something to offer the world, but fear, procrastination, and old patterns kept me stuck.
I was starting things and not finishing them.
Letting life pass me by.
Watching my potential from the sidelines.
GEN-P didn’t start as a clothing brand.
It started as a quiet question in my spirit:
“Are you really okay living like this?
When Loss Becomes a Mirror
The real shift came when my best friend passed away.
That type of pain hits different. It forces you to look at life and death in a new way.
I said it in one of my songs, and it still holds weight for me today:
“Death makes a person go one of two ways…
become a savage or want to get saved.”
I chose saved.
For me, “saved” meant forming a deeper spiritual connection.
It meant not feeling sorry for myself forever…
but using that pain as fuel.
It meant finally taking accountability for my life.
His passing became a mirror.
Either I was going to keep wasting time
or I was going to honor both his life and mine by becoming the best version of myself.
Changing My Algorithm
Everything changed when I started changing my mind first.
I shifted my perspective.
I stopped asking “Why me?” and started asking “What now?”
I began listening to motivational and spiritual videos on YouTube every day — in the car, at work, at the gym, on the cherry picker. I started breaking old cycles and stacking small wins:
-
Went from sleeping past 12 p.m. to waking up at 5 a.m.
-
Started controlling what I could control — my attitude, my effort, my energy.
-
Became more solution-based instead of complaining.
-
Started respecting people the way I wanted to be respected.
Little by little, I stepped into a new identity:
creator, leader, builder, visionary — someone who refuses to quit.
I didn’t just change my feed…
I changed my internal algorithm.
From 9–5 to Ownership
Once the mindset shifted, the results followed.
-
My attitude changed.
-
My relationships got better.
-
My discipline sharpened.
I learned new skills that I still use in business today.
I started getting paid from the very skills I taught myself while working that 9–5.
I fixed my own credit — removed 5+ collections and inquiries just by learning and taking action.
From there, the wins kept stacking:
-
Bought 3 cars (financed two, title to one).
-
Became a homeowner.
-
All while still working a full-time job.
None of this came from shortcuts.
It came from inputs — daily effort, daily decisions.
GEN-P: Growth. Empower. Navigate. Pursue.
GEN-P is bigger than clothes.
It’s a lifestyle rooted in four pillars:
-
Growth – becoming better than who you were yesterday.
-
Empower – realizing the power you carry and using it to uplift others.
-
Navigate – moving through pain, confusion, and pressure with wisdom and intention.
-
Pursue – chasing purpose on purpose, even when it’s uncomfortable.
If I had to choose one word my story embodies the most, it’s Growth — but all four live inside this journey.
GEN-P is for the ones who know they’re destined for more, even if their life doesn’t show it yet.
For the ones stuck in routines, battling doubt, fighting their environment… but still hearing that whisper that says:
“You’ve got more in you.”
Input vs. Output
The biggest lesson I learned is simple:
Your input creates your output.
The effort you put in becomes the life you get back.
When I changed what I was feeding my mind…
When I changed how I respected my time…
When I started stacking wins instead of excuses…
My whole life shifted.
GEN-P exists to remind you:
You are not stuck.
You are not your past patterns.
You are one decision, one habit, one mindset shift away from a completely different story.
Welcome to GEN-P.
This brand is my story stitched into fabric — a reminder that you can turn pain into purpose, discipline into freedom, and ordinary days into a legacy.
Every piece is a symbol of someone choosing Growth, choosing Empowerment, choosing to Navigate, choosing to Pursue.
